Management of ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, and rheumatic disorders (including juvenile rheumatoid arthritis); acute gout; mild to moderate pain; migraines; tendinitis, bursitis; primary dysmenorrhea; fever.

NOTE: Doses are expressed as naproxen base; 500 mg of naproxen base is equivalent to 550 mg of naproxen sodium.
Adults:
Acute gout: an initial dose of 750 mg followed by 250 mg every 8 hours.
Mild to moderate pain, dysmenorrhea, acute tendinitis, bursitis: an initial dose of 500 mg followed by 250 mg every 6–8 hours. Maximum 1250 mg/day of naproxen base.
Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis: 500–1000 mg/day in 2 divided doses. May be increased to 1.5 g/day of naproxen base for a limited period of time.
Migraine: 750 mg at the first sign of symptoms; if necessary, doses of 250 to 500 mg may be administered during the day up to a maximum of 1250 mg.
