Children under 12 years of age: 10–15 mg/kg per dose every 4 to 6 hours; do not exceed 5 doses (2.6 g) in 24 hours.
Adults: 325 to 650 mg every 4 to 6 hours, or 1000 mg 3 to 4 times daily (every 6 to 8 hours).
Do not exceed 4 g per day.
